In the middle of the night, while discussing an important decision we are facing, we suddenly realized a funny confusion with respect to a certain Bible reference. I was under the conviction that
Li-Xia had made a reference to Ecclestiastes verses 3:5,6 the other day. She had told me that these were the verses she had copied (in Chinese) on a small piece of paper, which by accident had fallen behind our bed. I have to admit, that I was a little puzzled about why she considered these verses so significant, as they read: Of course, they are profound in themselves, but I did not understand their applicability to our situation. I was a little surprised that Li-Xia suddenly had become so much more of a philosopher or a mystic (whatever might be the case).

We both had to laugh, when we discovered that I had mistaken Proverbs for Ecclestiastes, and that she had had Proverbs 3:5,6 in mind all the time, which read:

It really made us laugh. But later on, I realized that this might have been a divine mistake, and saw the verses from Ecclesiastes as suggestion to choose one of the options that lays a head of us.

Hottest Day of the Year, sofar...

When I arrived at the office, I seemed the only person not wearing shorts. Predicted temperature was between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius, which was hotter than any other day of the year sofar.

We had our first ice-creams, and installed some fans to reduce the temperature in the office.
